PNP draw results of December 2023

November 25 – December 1

Ontario

On November 30, Ontario held a draw in the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream. The province invited 1,052 candidates from healthcare occupations who are part of the Express Entry pool to apply for provincial nomination, provided they have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score ranging from 404 to 430. To be eligible, candidates must prove their intention to settle in Ontario after receiving permanent residency status. The province evaluates various factors, such as employment (or job search in the province), property ownership or leasing, and personal and professional relationships, to determine a candidate’s ties to the province.

British Columbia

On November 28, British Columbia invited a total of 185 candidates under its British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) through four separate draws. In which the largest draw was for 80 candidates under the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled streams. The minimum scores required in this draw ranged from 94 to 116. The other three draws targeted

  • 49 Early Childhood Educators and Assistants,
  • 27 Construction occupation candidates and
  • 29 Healthcare occupation candidates.

The minimum scores required for these draws were 60, 75, and 60, respectively.

Manitoba

On November 30, Manitoba conducted a draw to invite candidates to apply for immigration. The province invited a total of 148 candidates under the Skilled Worker stream who had a close relative in Manitoba and met the minimum score requirement of 609. This was the first draw of its kind this year. To qualify under this stream, candidates were required to provide proof that a close relative such as a parent, grandparent, sibling, niece, nephew, aunt, or uncle had been living in Manitoba for at least a year.

In addition, the province also invited 82 candidates under the International Education Stream and 38 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates who scored a minimum of 720.

Prince Edward Island

On November 30, 69 candidates in healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, and construction were invited through PEI PNP’s Labour and Express Entry stream. In the past 12 months, the province has invited 2,528 candidates through this stream.

Quebec

On November 16, Quebec invited 1210 candidates with a minimum score of 609 and level 7 oral proficiency in French to apply for permanent selection. No specific occupations were targeted.

Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP is a great way to receive a Canadian permanent residency. Each PNP has one stream that is aligned with the Express Entry System, known as ‘Enhanced Nominations’. The advantage of enhanced PNP is that they award an extra CRS score of 600 points, which will guarantee PR to the applicant through express entry. Also, there is another stream under the PNP, known as ‘the base stream’. Here, you can apply to a PNP stream directly and once you obtain a provincial nomination, the federal government will process your permanent residence application.
