PNP Draw of December first week
December 2-8
Ontario
Ontario recently conducted three separate draws for candidates in the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Though all candidates were in the same stream, the three draws catered to different attributes.
One of the draws was for healthcare and STEM occupations, and a minimum score of 43 was required. The province invited 1,663 candidates in these occupations.
Another draw was for skilled trades occupations, where 761 candidates with a minimum score of 34 were invited.
The final draw targeted 13 candidates in the Economic Mobility Pathways Project (EMPP), which is a pathway for skilled refugees and other displaced people to immigrate to Canada. No minimum score was necessary for this draw.
British Columbia
On December 5, British Columbia conducted four targeted draws. These draws were for a total of 193 Skilled Workers and International Graduate candidates under the BC PNP program.
The largest draw was for 92 candidates who were in tech occupations and they needed a minimum score of 94 in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
The province also invited 46 early childhood educators and assistants as well as 24 candidates in healthcare occupations. These candidates needed a minimum score of 60.
The final draw was held for candidates in a construction occupation and 31 candidates were invited. These candidates needed a minimum SIRS score of 75.
Manitoba
117 candidates were invited by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) on December 4 as part of special immigration measures for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
This draw is only for Ukraine citizens.
Provincial Nominee Program
The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP is a great way to receive a Canadian permanent residency. Each PNP has one stream that is aligned with the Express Entry System, known as ‘Enhanced Nominations’. The advantage of enhanced PNP is that they award an extra CRS score of 600 points, which will guarantee PR to the applicant through express entry. Also, there is another stream under the PNP, known as ‘the base stream’. Here, you can apply to a PNP stream directly and once you obtain a provincial nomination, the federal government will process your permanent residence application.
