Latest PNP Draw of September: Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Alberta invite candidates

Latest PNP Draw of September

In the latest PNP draw of September, five provinces of Canada including Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Alberta invited more than 1,500 candidates.

PNP Draw results from August 29- September 8

Ontario

Ontario held its PNP draw on September 7 and invited 300 candidates through the Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The CRS score requirement for eligibility ranges between 308 to 434.

Since it was a general draw candidates could be invited from any occupation as long as they had the required Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 6 in English and (CLB) level 7 or higher in French. The CLB is evaluated on the basis of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Quebec

Recently Quebec released the result of the PNP draw that occurred on August 24. A total of 1000 candidates were invited from a wide range of targeted occupations to apply for permanent selection. The eligibility criteria include a score of 584 and a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French.

British Columbia

On September 6, British Columbia invited 222 candidates through three draws of the BC PNP.

The largest draw invited 160 candidates in a general draw for Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled candidates. The SIRS score required for eligibility ranges between 89 and 110, depending on the stream.

The other two draws invited 43 early childhood educators and assistants and 19 healthcare workers with a minimum SIRS score requirement of 60.

New Brunswick

New Brunswick released the results of the New Brunswick Express Entry program in July this week. The province invited a total of 259 candidates from three streams of the NB PNP. There were 58 candidates invited through the NB Employment Connection, 130 through the NB Student Connection, and 71 through the NB Occupations in Demand Connection.

Alberta

On August 29, Alberta invited 18 Express Entry candidates through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway with Alberta job offer with a CRS score requirement of 300 or higher.

Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP is a great way to receive a Canadian permanent residency. Each PNP has one stream that is aligned with the Express Entry System, known as ‘Enhanced Nominations’. The advantage of enhanced PNP is that they award an extra CRS score of 600 points, which will guarantee PR to the applicant through express entry. Also, there is another stream under the PNP, known as ‘the base stream’. Here, you can apply to a PNP stream directly and once you obtain a provincial nomination, the federal government will process your permanent residence application.
