The latest express entry draw of October was held on yesterday. A total of 1,548 ITAs were issued exclusively for Provincial nominee program candidates. Candidates are required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 776. Yesterday’s draw marks IRCC‘s fifth PNP-only draw of 2023, and Canada’s first since May 10, 2023.
The last draw was held on October 10, which invited 3725 candidates in an all-program draw with a minimum CRS score requirement of 500.
Upfront medical examination is no longer required
Another important update by the IRCC is regarding the upfront immigrant medical examination (IME). As of October 1, this year, Express Entry candidates are no longer required to get an upfront immigrant medical examination (IME) before submitting their permanent resident application to IRCC.
An exam is still a requirement, but candidates may submit a blank document in the upload field of the Express Entry profile builder. IRCC will send further instructions regarding your medical exam later.
Those who already completed an IME as part of a different IRCC application, or are already living in Canada, do not need to complete a second IME.
