IRCC issues 2,500 ITAs in category-based Express Entry draw for French language proficiency

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited candidates to apply for permanent residency in the second Express Entry draw of the week.

The department sent out 2,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) for a category-based selection draw. This is for candidates who are skilled in French language. Just keep in mind, you need a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 336 to qualify.

The draw follows a general draw on February 28 in which 1,410 candidates with a minimum CRS of 534 received invitations to apply. In a general draw, candidates are considered from all three Express Entry managed programs.

On February 28th, 1,410 candidates received invitations to apply in a general draw. Candidates from all three Express Entry managed programs are considered in these draws.

Why Are French Language Skills Important in Canada?

In recent years, the Canadian government and IRCC has been stepping up its efforts to attract French-speaking immigrants to communities across Canada. To encourage continued francophone immigration growth, the government has set a target for francophone immigrants settling outside Quebec for the upcoming years.

Express Entry Draw Factors in Trend

Express Entry draws’ outcomes are influenced by several factors which determine the characteristics of the invited candidates:

CRS Score: Remember that the score you need to qualify for a particular immigration program changes all the time. It depends on things like what the program needs and how many people are applying. If you want to know how tough the competition is, keep an eye on the trends.

Immigration Targets: The frequency and competitiveness of draws for immigration to Canada are significantly influenced by the annual immigration targets set by IRCC. Such targets are determined based on various factors, including economic, social, and demographic considerations.

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Getting a provincial nomination can really help you out if you’re hoping to immigrate to Canada. Basically, it can give you a big advantage by boosting your CRS points and making you a more competitive candidate.

Job Offer and LMIA: Acquiring a legitimate LMIA-approved job in Canada can significantly enhance your chances of being selected in the Express Entry system. This is because such a job offer can earn you additional CRS points, making you a more desirable candidate. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to boost your chances of success.
