HCPC Registration Guide for
Indian Allied Health Professionals
The United Kingdom offers outstanding career opportunities for internationally qualified allied health professionals. To practise in the UK, you must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – the statutory regulator for 15 allied health professions across the UK
The HCPC does not regulate General Nurses or Midwives
Those professions are regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Contact Matrixx Overseas to confirm which regulator applies to your profession.

Ireland offers Indian nurses an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in one of Europe’s most dynamic healthcare systems.To work as a nurse in Ireland, you must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Indian nurses who qualified out side the EU are classified as Group 3 (G3) applicants.
The HCPC Registration Process
English Language Requirement
India is not on HCPC’s qualifying countries list.A valid English language test result is mandatory
for all Indian applicants. Accepted tests include IELTS Academic, OET, and TOEFLiBT.
Test results must not be more than two years old at the time of application.
Application and Assessment
Applications are submitted online with certified qualification documents, professional experience details, and a Standards of Proficiency Mapping Document. A non-refundable scrutiny fee is payable at the time of submission, regardless of outcome.
Two independent HCPC assessors review your application. Outcomes include: successful (proceed to registration), Test of Competence, or unsuccessful (right of appeal).
Registration
On a successful outcome, the registration fee is payable with in 72 hours of receiving HCPC’s payment link. HCPC registration is renewed every two years.

application, and a registration fee payable on successful outcome.Renewalis
