Latest PNP draw of October: results from October 17 – 27

British Columbia

On October 17, British Columbia invited around 155 candidates through four separate draws in the BC PNP.

The biggest draw was a general draw and included candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled Streams.

Skilled workers must attain a minimum Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) score of 111, while international graduates are required to have a score of 113. Entry-level semi-skilled candidates need a score of 91 to qualify.

The other three draws targeted Skilled Worker and International Graduate candidates with work experience in specific occupations. Every candidate was required to have a score above 60 for eligibility.

The occupations include:

Early Childhood Educators and Assistants- 31

Healthcare-17

Other priority occupations- less than 5

On October 24, British Columbia held another PNP draw and invited candidates from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories.

The largest draw was held for tech occupations and invited 101 candidates with a minimum score of 90.  The other three draws invited 34 Early Childhood Educators and Assistants, 22 healthcare professionals, and less than 5 candidates from other priority occupations. The minimum score required for eligibility was 60.

Saskatchewan

On October 23, Saskatchewan held its initial draw since August, inviting a total of 99 candidates across two categories. Among these, 40 invitations were extended to candidates in the Occupations-in-Demand category, and 59 were offered to candidates in the Express Entry category. In both cases, the draws were aimed at specific National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes, and all applicants needed to undergo Educational Credential Assessments. Additionally, a minimum score of 84 was mandatory for all candidates.

Prince Edward Island

The PEI PNP draw was held on October 19. The province extended invitations to a total of 102 candidates from the Labour and Express Entry pools. Consideration was given to candidates categorized as Critical Workers, and Express Entry invitations were specifically offered to individuals employed by a PEI Employer with a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 55.

Furthermore, two candidates were also invited through the Business and Entrepreneur stream, requiring a minimum EOI score of 80.

In the past year, PEI has invited 2,464 candidates through the Labour and Express Stream, constituting 97% of all invitations extended during this period.

Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP is a great way to receive a Canadian permanent residency. Each PNP has one stream that is aligned with the Express Entry System, known as ‘Enhanced Nominations’. The advantage of enhanced PNP is that they award an extra CRS score of 600 points, which will guarantee PR to the applicant through express entry. Also, there is another stream under the PNP, known as ‘the base stream’. Here, you can apply to a PNP stream directly and once you obtain a provincial nomination, the federal government will process your permanent residence application.
