Details about the Canada Express Entry Draw
Canada introduced six categories of Express Entry draws in May 2023, in an offer to help the Canadian economy by inviting more skilled immigrants.
Express Entry is Canada’s application management system for three immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
Federal Skilled Worker Program:
The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program is one of three programs in Canada’s Express Entry system for handling immigration applications. If you have work experience from another country and no ties to Canada, this program lets you apply for permanent residency. It’s a great way to become a Canadian resident.
Canadian Experience Class:
If you’re looking to stay in Canada permanently and have been working there recently, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a great program for you. It’s one of the fastest ways to become a Canadian permanent resident, taking only three to four months to process.
Federal Skilled Trades Program:
The Federal Skilled Worker Program is a way for skilled candidates from all over the world to move to Canada. It’s a part of the Express Entry system that aims to select those candidates who have the best chances of settling in Canada successfully. If you’re thinking about moving to Canada, you need to meet some requirements. The government will evaluate you based on six factors education, language, work experience, age, arranged employment (work permit), and adaptability. You need to get at least 67 points out of 100 to qualify.
Candidates must meet specific criteria to gain admission to these programs, including a comprehensive score based on their work experience, occupation, language skills, and other relevant factors.
Canada’s Express Entry categories target French language proficiency and work experience in healthcare, STEM, trade, transport, agriculture, and agri-food occupations to fill gaps in the Canadian workforce.
